Return of the King

Scripture: John 12:12-26

In this powerful message, we’re invited to explore the profound contrast between fear and faith through the lens of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The story from John 12 reminds us that our King comes in peace, riding on a donkey – a symbol of humility and shalom. This image challenges us to consider: Are we living in fear, like the nervous passengers on a turbulent flight, or are we filled with childlike wonder and trust, like the young boy gazing out the window? The message urges us to embrace the ‘greatest news ever’ – that Jesus offers us life, purpose, and eternal hope. As we reflect on this, we’re encouraged to examine our own hearts. Are we clinging to control, or are we willing to surrender to God’s perfect will? This teaching reminds us that true freedom and joy come not from grasping our own way, but from following Jesus wholeheartedly.
