The church of today typically talks about giving often or almost never. The “almost never” folks are perhaps acknowledging the cultural perspective that the church and her leaders are seen as greedy and possessive. For some, sadly, that appears to be true. But would it surprise you to learn that the more Jesus-like and biblical approach is to talk about giving and generosity often? Jesus did. God does. That’s because generosity, not only but especially financial generosity, is an act of worship and an important aspect of discipleship in the way of Jesus. We have to trust God to give away things, which is why Jesus said that the widow who gave two small coins gave more than others. She gave out of need, which is evidence of her great faith in God to provide and sustain. We all are invited to the same journey of faith. Every aspect of the ministry and mission of Grace House is supported solely by your generosity. And we hold ourselves to the highest standards of accountability and transparency in the use of these funds to activate the vision God has given to Grace House.
